You Can Still Get a HEMI Dodge For Now

You Can Still Get a HEMI Dodge For Now

If you’re considering visiting your Dodge dealership to look for a HEMI model, you still have time. You may not be able to get one to your exact specs, but there are still plenty of Dodge Charger and Challenger models on dealer lots with a HEMI V8. The Dodge Durango also comes with three different Hemi options for the 2024 model year.

How To Find That HEMI At Your Dodge Dealership

Can you still get a Dodge vehicle with a HEMI engine? You can, for now, but Dodge recently announced that it would stop production on the HEMI engines at the end of 2024. The Dodge Charger and Challenger HEMI models ended last year, but there are still plenty of them on dealership lots if you are okay with not ordering one to your exact specs.

In fact, you can get just about any Dodge muscle car version out there, including the 5.7-liter HEMI R/T and the 6.4-liter HEMI engine in the Scat Pack. There are even last-call ads for some of the special models like the King Daytona and Charger Super Bee. You just might have to travel a little.

You can visit Dodge.com to search for new inventory on the 2023 Charger and Challenger models as well. By narrowing the filters to only show HEMI models, you can locate these models in Dodge dealerships across the country. You might be surprised by how many are still available.

HEMI Models By the Numbers

As of May 2024, there were quite a lot of 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger models available on Dodge dealership lots. There were over 10,000 Challenger models with a HEMI engine across the country. Over 4,000 of those models were R/T models with the 5.7-liter HEMI and over 4,500 Scat Pack models. There were also nearly 1,500 SRT Hellcat models and over 250 with the supercharged HEMI.

There were similar numbers for the 2023 Dodge Charger to the tune of over 8,700 models available. Included in that number were over 3,100 R/T models, nearly 5,000 Scat Pack models, and over 650 SRT Hellcat models. In other words, there were over 18,000 units of the 2023 Challenger and Charger in the Dodge inventory as of May 2024.

When you search the inventory, you can find out exactly where they are and get one that fits your preferences if you’re willing to travel. Even though you can’t order a new version of these HEMI cars, you can still find them.

Consider the 2024 Dodge Durango

If you’d rather have an SUV, then you’ll have plenty of options with the HEMI Dodge Durango from the 2024 model year. In May 2024, there were over 7,100 Durango models with a HEMI V8. All three HEMI engines are available with the Durango. Over 1,000 of those models were SRT Hellcat models. Along with the 2024 Dodge Durango, there are still over 1,000 2023 Dodge Durango models with HEMI V8 engines out there.

If you want to find a Dodge model with a HEMI engine before they’re discontinued, you definitely have options. However, you should start looking as soon as possible before the inventory is depleted.
