The new V8s are expected to replace the current 5.3- and 6.2-liter units. The 5.3 currently produces 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, while the 6.2 puts out 420 hp and 460 lb-ft.

By relocating the shifter to the steering column, the new design frees up space on the center console for additional storage.
