The Santa Fe’s bold new look is impressive, but what about when you get behind the wheel? The 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine delivers 277 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. It’s quick to accelerate from a stop and then works with the suspension to provide a smooth ride. Front-wheel drive comes standard, but if you want the extra traction that all-wheel drive brings, it’s available no matter which trim you have.
The Rugged and Rough-Road-Ready XRT
While any of the Hyundai Santa Fe trims have a rugged look, the XRT takes it to the next level with dark exterior trim including blacked out wheels and side mirrors. This off-road version of the Santa Fe has an extra 1.3 inches of ground clearance, bringing it to 8.3 inches, and it comes with all-terrain tires.
Driving the XRT is made easier with the addition of Hyundai’s Highway Driving Assist system. It enhances the adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist systems when you’re driving on the highway.
A Full Suite of Advanced Safety Systems
No matter which Hyundai Santa Fe you choose, it will come with a bunch of driver aids to help you stay alert and aware of what’s going on around you. This technology will make sure you know of an impending frontal collision and apply the brakes if you don’t do it in time, and it will make steering adjustments to keep you in your lane of travel.
The safety technology is also designed to prevent accidents when you’re in parking lots and driveways. Front and rear parking sensors alert you of obstacles in your path when parking and the available 360-degree camera system shows a bird’s eye view around Santa Fe.
Technology for Everyone on the Ride
Whether you need to make a call, send a text, or need directions, you’ve got the tech to do it in the Santa Fe. A 12.3-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system serves as your information hub, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on hand to sync your phone. Ready for some music? The upgraded 12-speaker Bose stereo will make you feel like you’re right in front of your favorite band.
The higher trims add a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster to the mix and set the whole thing behind a panoramic curved display. If your phone battery is getting low, just set it down on the available charging pad to charge it back up. Make sure to check out the top-level Calligraphy trim. It has two wireless chargers, so your passenger can keep their phone charged, too.
